SPRING FLING, FRENCH FOUNTAIN

Spring is in the air people! And that goes for Arizona too. I am trying to soak up as much time outdoors as I can before it gets too hot. While most of you will soon be free from the interior of your homes to frolic in the sunshine, here in Arizona, we retreat to the indoors in the summer. But right now, we are in our prime!

You may remember a post I did about visiting the Paris Flea Market this past September. There were two major purchases we made at that Market. One is the big, beautiful, and ornate bird cage I am holding in the post. We are still waiting for that one to arrive on a container when the in-laws come home! (Can't wait to see them, my in-laws, not just the bird cage. ha ha) The second is this amazing vintage French Fountain that my husband actually found. I must say he has great taste! The bad news is I wish I had a picture of it hanging in the vendors booth at the market, but I didn't! C'est La Vie! The good news is, my husband was finally able to hang up the fountain. And I must say, I am in love!! 

 

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. I had the most amazing weekend, full of outdoor activities and inspiration! This weekend my family and I attended The Scottsdale Arts Festival. There were SO many amazing artists! It was so refreshing to see so much talent with unique and original ideas. We were even fortunate enough to take home a wonderful print on canvas from an incredibly talented french photographer! 

 This week, I would like to share with you this wonderful, yet unique candle holder that I have put together. I decided to name it "Birds of a Feather!" I am sure you all know the old saying "Birds of a Feather Flock Together!" It means that those of similar taste flock in groups! That is how I feel about Blog Land. There are so many wonderfully talented people out there with some really amazing blogs! I am just so happy to be a part of this flock!

QUEEN ANNE, QUEEN BEE

Welcome back to another fabulous Monday! I use to always dread Mondays, the long work week ahead, but now I love Mondays! Its a day when I get to showcase my latest creations with you and see what others have been up to as well. 

This past week I accomplished my first graphics transfer onto a piece of furniture! You gotta love "The First Times!" I always have a romantic idea in my head of how wonderful and simply amazing it will be, and then it turns out to take longer than I expected and the process is never quite how I imaged it would be. But in the end, I pull through and come out loving the final product! At least, that is usually how I feel, well, so far anyways!
